What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior.
How does ABA therapy work?
- Can be adapted to meet the needs of each unique person
- Provided in many different locations – at home, at school, and in the community
- Teaches skills that are useful in everyday life
- Can involve one-to-one teaching or group instruction
How can ABA therapy programs help?
- Increase language and communication skills.
- Improve attention, focus, social skills, memory, and academics.
- Decrease problem behaviors.
Who we work with ?
ABA therapy programs also involve therapists, or registered behavior technicians (RBTs). These
therapists are trained and supervised by the BCBA. They work directly with children and adults
with autism to practice skills and work toward the individual goals written by the BCBA.
